My xbox is pretty old now and my drive isn't working too good. Can i buy a new one? or a new laser? The drives need to be linked to the console don't they? Thanks for any help!
I would first try just a simple cleaning. If that doesnt help then depending on your drive type you can order and replace it with another.
If you was to buy a new drive you'd have to flash the key from the old drive to the new one. For a new laser it's easily switched out but then might not work 100%.

What country are you located? I know of a place I have dealt with in the US that has Benq and Hitachi drives and lasers. If interested PM me.
