    Hi

Used the RFA profile editor to up my salavage to 999,999 a few weeks ago and everything working fine until now. Clicked on continue and I seem to have lost all the progress made.

I haven't fiddled with my profile at all since the mod either here or on the xbox. I've been playing every day and it's been fine until now.

Can anyone explain what's gone on?

    Thanks

    Simon

Forgot to add that salvage amount is correct and what it was the last time I played the game. If anything it's gone back to before I even used the profile editor.

    Thanks

Recover your profile from live and mod it again

    Hi

Thanks for the reply but I don't know what you mean exactly. When you say recover your profile from live...Do you mean extract onto usb drive etc etc. If so, would modding again take me back to where I was (75% complete) and not back to 25%?

I still have 988,000 salvage but have lost all my progress.

Will do as you advise as willing to try anything!! The other thing is do you know how this might have happened as I don't want to repeat the mistake.

    Many thanks

    Simon

Remember to always keep/make back-ups of your files before modding regardless if 350Revolution does it for you or not.
When it comes to Profile editing something like that can easily happen between your connection to XBL and you editing your profile. Which would explain your currently issue and recovering with the same issue. Which is why it is most safe to Profile edit, Offline.

Also keep in mind that Much like Halo: Reach, your Campaign is on a save whilst your rank is on your profile (to unlock and purchase armor cosmetics), so even if you recovered your profile, and your save is gone, you'll have to start over with story mode. Certain games will not have ALL data located on the profile or the save, some of them do split it up much like Halo: Reach. Strictly speaking in an offline manner of course. :)

    Hopefully that clarifies some things

Thanks but still a bit confused. My box is not connected to internet and never use Live so can't figure out how this happened.

    Hi

Can anyone advise how my save could be gone when:
    • I'm not connected to live
    • Have been able to play game for about 4 weeks since mod and never done any manual saves
    • Not fiddled with my profile on xobox or on PC
Just makes me worried about using any of the other profile or gamesave mods.

    Thanks

Honestly, It sounds like your save got deleted somehow.
    at any rate:
This should definitely be a rule of thumb for ALL editing. This helps prevents mystery situations such as this and loosing data.

    Thanks

Believe it or not the autosave was still there but somehow it defaulted to a manual save I did some time ago. When I loaded the autosave I got my progress back.

    Thanks anyway
