Star Wars: First Assault is headed to Xbox Live Arcade. Spotted by the NeoGAF forums, cover art for the game is currently hosted on Xbox.com and bears the “Arcade” banner, confirming that the game will come to Microsoft’s platform at some point in the future.

The image confirms trademarks and a domain that emerged in August, includingStarWarsFirstAssault.com, which currently forwards to StarWars.com. At the time, trademarks mentioned "interactive entertainment software" in addition to merchandising rights, but no details on platforms were made available.

We reached out to LucasArts about Star Wars: First Assault and received the following statement: “It is an exciting time at our company right now, however we don't have any announcements at this time.”

In addition to Star Wars 1313, which is currently in development and has been shown off recently, we last heard that Star Wars: Battlefront III could be in development at Spark Unlimited. For now, though, 1313 is the only Star Wars project that has been officially announced.

Keep checking back to IGN for news on Star Wars: First Assault once it’s fully unveiled.
