Soul Sacrifice has been given a new trailer by Sony.

The latest Soul Sacrifice video looks at the game's huge monsters, as well as the group-based combat.

It also teases some of the game's visually impressive environments, such as underwater caves, expansive rolls of countryside and a desert oasis.

The trailer debuted at a Japanese PlayStation Vita conference earlier today, alongside the news that the game will launch in the region on March 7 and that the handheld will receive a price cut.

Soul Sacrifice is the latest game from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune. It uses a unique sacrifice system for casting spells, where players have to either sacrifice their allies or parts of their own character to progress and use new abilities.

Users who pre-order the game will receive several pieces of DLC, including two new character costumes, three magic spell items and the Japanese voice pack for in-game dialogue.

The three spell items are the Spirits' Flamepike with a five-hit fire combo attack, the Spirits' Blightstone with an explosive stone attack with poison effects, and the Spirits' Fulgurwood which tracks enemies with electricity on the ground.

The Japanese voices will also be sold separately as DLC.

Soul Sacrifice will be available in North America on April 30, followed by Europe on May 1.
