Hi, I had a break from my Xbox for a couple of years and when I went to use it again I had forgotten my sign on. Microsoft wouldn't help at all. It became quite farcical in the end! Anyway, I set up a new profile and started again only to guess my sign on and password to my old profile at a later date. I know how to transfer or inject saves from one profile to another but was wondering how this would effect achievements. For instance I have completed 80% of The Godfather 2 on my old profile. If I injected the game save (if I still have it) into my new profile and loaded the save what would happen? Would all the achievements pop up in one go, and if so would that be a problem? Thanks.
not sure if will pop up but make a profile off live (back up) and try it off xboxlive dont signe in to xboxlive so you can see if works or not
Best way would be to extract the gpd and insert it into you old account this will take the achievements with it
Thanks. I've never done that before. I have seen the gpd files in the profiles though. Is it just a case of extracting the gpd file from the old profile and injecting it in to the new one? Hopw will that effect my old profile?
if you follow the steps on this topic http://www.xpgamesaves.com/topic/70897-share-exgpd-gpd-repository-unlocked-achievements/ it says exgpd but its the same principle with normal gpd's
Sorry I am having problems using the ex profile editor. I cannot seem to be able to load my profile into it. I have all my profiles on a pen drive but when I open the drive and select xbox360, where my profiles are, it is blank when I use ex profile editor to open it. They open fine in Horizon though. I have worked it out. I extracted all from Horizon in to a new folder on my PC.
Next question.... When I open exGPD files there are none in my profile. I select "all files" and select the gpd file but expe doesn't recognise them. Do I need to create exgpd files from these gpd files? Thanks. Sorry again. I have worked it out by messing around. I converted the gpd file to exgpd and saved it into my profile but I really am stuck now as I don't understand how to put that in my profile on Horizon. I may have worked it out. Just going to try it now. Sorry again. LOL Cool. It worked. I do have a legitimate question now though. Now I know how to do it, Does it matter if I convert all the Gpd files to exgpd files and load them in to my profile all at once. Will the time stamps stay as they were originally or will they create new time stamps and therefore all have the same time stamp? Also, I am having problems opening my main profile in exProEd. I am getting the following error: exProfileEditor v2.0.682.2 Exception Table --------------------------------- Message: Parameter is not valid. Source: System.Drawing StackTrace: at System.Drawing.Image.FromStream(Stream stream, Boolean useEmbeddedColorManagement, Boolean validateImageData) at System.Drawing.Image.FromStream(Stream stream) at T.GamerProfile.XDBF.XDBF_ImageEntry.get_Data() at T.GamerProfile.XDBF.XDBF_TitleInfo.get_Image() at U.Forms.Childs.frmMain.T(Object , DoWorkEventArgs ) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.OnDoWork(DoWorkEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.WorkerThreadStart(Object argument) It seems difficult to report any failures on their site but I managed to put the error report in a comments box. Probably not the right place to put it but the contact me page has been closed. Don't suppose anyone knows why I am getting this on my main profile?
if you followed the steps time stamps will stay the same from your other account, personally i have never had that error so not sure whats causing it for you
This sort of thing always happens to me. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. I deleted my profile and re-downloaded it and now it is opening in the programme.
