A new rumor suggests that Ryse and a new Forza game will be among the launch line-up for Microsoft’s next Xbox. According to a report from The Verge, multiple anonymous sources have confirmed that Ryse (the first-person Roman combat game in development at Crytek) has been re-worked into a next-generation game “designed to be Microsoft's new Gears of War / Halo mega launch title.”

Microsoft Studios is reportedly helping Crytek complete the title, which allegedly “uses deep Kinect integration to allow players to slash and kick at enemies.” Ryse is said to “take advantage of the new body tracking improvements in the next Kinect sensor.”

In addition to Ryse, sources suggest that Microsoft will launch its new console with a new Forza featuring “super life-like graphics” as well as "a zombie game" and “a family game set on an island with Pixar movie-style graphics” that “will utilize Kinect to scan a body and generate a virtual character in the game.”

Ryse was first teased as Codename: Kingdoms at E3 2010 before getting an official reveal a year later. It was first rumored as a next-gen title in late 2011 based on the LinkedIn resume of a Crytek designer. A new Forza, meanwhile, has been hinted at in job listings since last year, and we’ve been predicting it as a launch title ever since.

As for the zombie game, we know that Capcom prepped a trailer for Dead Rising 3 last year. Could it be headed to the new Xbox first?
