According to Kotaku we won’t be seeing Metal Gear Solid: Rising until the year of the so-called apocalypse. The rumour states that Konami are now aiming for a 2012 release for the game, instead of the previous unofficial release window of 2011. As Kotaku says it’s not all that surprising, as Metal Gear games always take a long time from the original announcement to release. The multiplatform MGS: Rising was announced at E3 2009, so it’s looking like Konami aren’t going to buck the trend. So, that’s at least a couple of years until we get to cut things up as Raiden. However, producer Shigenobu Matsuyama said that more story details will be released soon.
