I would also check the area around the connector on the motherboard and the drive it's self to make sure that it's not either/or before ordering.
It all looks alright. It kinda makes sense that its the power cord. As I have the drive outside the xbox, its a bit tight. Then a massive fan over both heat sinks. I move the xbox about abit and thats maybe when the power cords must have created a break. Also makes sense when i shake the thing it goes to rrod. Also the drive does nothing like its not powered when the xbox does work...... I really hope this will fix it : / Cant afford a new xbox to play online with!
