Rob Pardo has shocked Blizzard fans today by officially announcing that he will be leaving Blizzard after 17 years at the World Of Warcraft studios.

Pardo made the announcement on the World Of Warcraft forums stating that this is a bitter sweet experience, both sad and exciting.

"After 17 years at Blizzard, with long and careful contemplation, I have made a difficult and bittersweet but ultimately exciting decision to pursue the next chapter in my life and career." said Rob, although he doesn't actually state his reason for actually leaving or what the next chapter will actually be.

    he explains

Throughout Rob Pardo's goodbye announcement he has nothing but good things to say about Blizzard and praises the company to the very highest which suggests it was a mutal agreement.
