Superhero TV series Heroes may be revived by Microsoft as part of its bid to foster original programming on Xbox, a new report suggests. NBC and Microsoft are currently in talks to bring the show back with a new line-up of heroes, TV Line revealed, and include cameos from the original series cast. Will Microsoft save the cheerleader? Microsoft recently sold off its IPTV business Mediaroom to refocus resources on building a "cloud TV" platform. A report last week suggested that the next Xbox will overlay its features and UI over existing channels and be able to integrate with a cable TV box. Multiple sources have also spoken of a low-cost "Xbox TV" set-top box in the works, code-named "Yumo". The device is apparently due for release in 2014. Heroes seems a good choice for Microsoft. The show had a loyal and dedicated fanbase and its premise could easily be adapted to feature a fresh set of actors. The recent successful revival of cult TV show Veronica Mars (a film has been funded via Kickstarter) and hotly-anticipated return of Arrested Development on Netflix may have also warmed Microsoft to the idea. Me as well. Plus this was one of the last shows that Netflix used to update their streaming the day after it aired to.(off topic) If they asked the Xbox live community, the would definitely get a positive response. Tim Kring was supposed to make a Movie to end this show correctly. It never saw the light of day
Hope this comes back watched every single episode from start to end where she shows her power of invincibility.
Yeah was looking forward to that but it never happened Now that we have some positive news might just watch all the seasons again i brought the box set on blu- ray last year
Heroes is a great show. Its on of those shows that are underestimated. Hope they bring Heroes back on Netflix.
I doubt that Netflix would get it, if Microsoft/Xbox is going to produce it :| Would be nice though, none the less hh:
