Some of you may know Alex from Irrational Passions? Well Alex owns a Sony PS4 Next Gen games console... Lucky Alex eh? No not really! Alex has been experiencing a weird issue with his console randomly flickering and eventually turning itself off: Luckily for us Alex managed to capture the system failure on his mobile phone, check out the video below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgbG_OM-f6E This random fail happened on two occasions and on the second the console refused to boot up again. The issue has been reported to Sony and they are sending out a replacement console. Source

uhm his gpu is overheating cause its sitting on CARPET

Wouldn't affect the sound, plus the design of the PS4 forces one to assume that there are no air vents underneath the console so in theory, you can safely use it on carpet
his first problem is he has it near the wall, the air is just going to go right out the back and hit the wall and the vents in the ps4 will suck it back in. Then there's also the fact hes probably a big gamer and PS4 and XB1 are still going to have overheating problems. I'm waiting to by my next gen XB1 because just like the Xbox 360 they are going to make better versions that will be cheaper. 2005 Xenon 360s suck balls just like the Zephyr and the Falcon was OK but the Jasper didn't come out until when november 2008? 3 Years it took to build a Xbox 360 Model that solved overheating problems. Jaspers only went bad from factory defects or misuse
just because theres no vents on the bottom doesnt mean there is no heat there and it would affect sound if it is going out via HDMI however lets just say for example it doesnt affect sound he never commented on sound being affected BUT carpet does keep heat and can cause a GPU to overheat unless of course its a liquid cooled unit with a rad on the GPU lol
