Sony officially unveiled the new PS4 PRO yesterday which has cleared up a lot of the speculation that has been circulating about the console.

The newer version of the PS4 platform has always been speculated to be more powerful than its existing counterpart, there was no confirmed details on just how significant the gap between the PS4 consoles would be. Since the grand unveiling in New York City, gamers now know just how powerful the PS4 PRO will be.

Lets take a look at the PRO specification:

    Main processor:

    Custom- Chip single processor
CPU: x86-64 AMD 'Jaguar', 8 cores
GPU: 4.20 TFLOPS, AMD Radeon Based Graphics Engine

    Memory

    GDDR5 8GB

    Hard disk

    1TB X 1 X 1

    External Dimensions

    About 295mm x 55mm x 327mm ( width x height x depth )

    Mass

    3.3kg

    Optical drive (read only)

    DVD 8 speed CAV

As you can see from the spec above the PS4 Pro will feature an AMD Radeon graphics processor with 4.2 teraflop support, an 8 core x86-64 AMD “Jaguar”, and 8GB of GDDR6 ram. This will make the new PlayStation nearly twice as powerful as the currently available PS4.
Along with more power under the hood, it also has ample storage space featuring a nice terrabyte Hdd and will have 4k support (not blueray playback).

PlayStation 4 Pro is set to arrive at brick-and-mortar retailers on November 10, 2016 for a suggest retail price of $399 USD.
