Sony’s PlayStation Now cloud streaming service is very much on the radar of UK retailer GAME. While you might think a game streaming service would make a bricks and mortar retail chain sweat profusely, the chain’s chief digital officer Ian Chambers sees PS Now as an opportunity. Speaking with MCV, Chambers discussed the PS Now service and expressed hopes for GAME to be involved somehow. “I’m not going to rule anything in or out right now,” he told the site, and added, “What I will say is that if you look back across the past 18 months, you’ll see that GAME has a history of innovating. Whether it’s our lock-in series, our award-winning app, our m-commerce site, our Get Gaming Quicker service or our new digital infrastructure, we’ve shown we understand what gaming communities want and that we are capable of delivering this for them.” When looking at PS Now, Chambers explained, “We view it very much as an opportunity. Since the launch of subscriptions to services offered by Microsoft and Sony, GAME has been fundamental to their success,” Source - VG247
I don't understand how GAME can be/get involved in this surely it will hurt GAME as if it takes of massively GAME will loose money as this is a all digital service so people won't be going to buy the games, I don't get it
