PlayStation Mobile App 1.60: Live From PlayStation Support and Small Fixes The official PlayStation App doesn't add a ton to the next-gen experience, but Sony's most recent update extends its basic feature set even further. On top of being able to link with your PS4 and for simple exchange of messages between friends, you'll also have the option to view Live from PlayStation streams right on your mobile device. As you might already know, users can select from uSteam or Twitch to host their broadcasts. Tapping on any of the clips in the list will open your browser to that proper locale. The revision also featured some smaller alterations as well. Video playback is now supported in PSN store listings, and the app will no longer see your PS4 if it's in standby mode. These aren't overwhelming changes, but at least the 1.60 version number gives us possible confirmation that we'll be seeing a corresponding PS4 firmware update very soon.
