You can now play the first level of Super Mario 64 in your web browser, thanks to Roystan Ross who has recreated the Nintendo ,1996 classic using Unity Engine.
The Bob-Omb Battlefield was recreated to demonstrate a custom character controller built from the ground up for the Unity Engine, also known as "Super Character Controller".
The level is instantly recognizable because apart from a couple of minor missing things such as, red coins the Wing Cap and the Big Bob-omb, which have been replaced with giant springs and coin blocks, the level is exactly the same.
Sadly though Ross does not plan to develop this project any further or to fix any bugs, "unless they’re horrendously gamebreaking and horrendously simple to fix" he says on his blog.
