So i finally decided to flash my drive i wanted to know the exact tools im going to need to do it i have never opened my Xbox but im pretty sure its a Trinity Slim how ever i want to keep the cost as low as possible. Would kindly appreciate it. Thanks!
Depending on the DVD Drive in your slim you will need: Opening is a torx 10 and persuasion flat head screwdriver for me but there are kits. CK3 Pro USB Pro Drill and template Chip Unlock probe Solder kit PCB Coolrunner Nand-x DG-16D4S is the easier one but there are 2 versions with different methods DG-16D5S needs RGH to get the drive key ...all in all if you're not going to flash more than one I'd get someone else to do it for you
The template is not always reliable ADDZ. as each chip can be just a little bit away from the pins. You're better off zooming in with a high quality camera or a microscope and taking a picture of the pins under the eproxy and then count 5 from the right from the top and then 4 pins down the side of the right of the chip, then just mark yourself a point to drill. Use 0.8,mm drill bits as they won't make a hole in the chip too big. Depending on the drive revision, whether it's DG-16D4S or DG-16D5S you will need extra hardware as listed above. DG-16D4S: Sputnik Unlock Probe if MXIC chip CK3 Pro or a USB Pro and some brains. Alternatively as listed above, you can always buy an unlocked PCB which will probably be cheaper that messing up a Kamikazi or Sputnuk unlock. They are not easy tasks for beginners. If it's a DG-16D5S There is no way for simple here, you will need to RGH the console to retrieve the DVD key and then get a hold of an unlocked PCB. Some Trinity consoles DID have the DG-16D5S, so make sure you take a look at the sticker on the DVD drive and tell us exactly what it is.
Thing is the charge triple the amount here and they are unrealible also i only want to be able to play burnt games i was going through a tutorial all he did was use a X360USB Pro v1 powered by his Xbox and he used jungle flasher to flash the drive shouldnt that be enough?
Powering the drive with the xbox is dangerous and will most likely flag you for ban immediately, unless you are planning to play offline offline permanently of course. If it's a Slim drive there is no way he managed to flash it like that. Either he had already replaced the PCB with an unlocked one or unlocked that PCB.
it was a slim im not sure how he managed that and yes i will be offline permanently would that method work on any phat?
