So, I've been wanting to build my own computer forever now. Just recently finally had enough to buy everything. Planned on buying pieces here and there but since I had the money for it, just bought it all in one go. Everything bought at NCIX because I'm too impatient to wait for parts to be shipped to me.
I'm pretty excited to try out PC gaming on a build that can actually handle it!

I didn't wanna go all out and spend a lot of money on parts and what not since this is my first build and I'm still learning. This was a reasonable price for me. Will update after I get it all put together.

not bad at all for a first build mate only thing i would have changed is ripjaws instead of vengance better timings (IMO). either way good build when you get a spare bit of cash invest in an SSD and watch it fly. currently shopping for my new pc luckily ive got a pretty healthy budget thanks to the insurance company plus loads of spares like cases dvd drives hard drives etc. lets just say it will be quick good choices tho the fun part is putting it all together and trying to not have cables absolutely everywhere eg like this[IMG] Although I have managed to squeeze a multi card reader in the bottom hard drive bay and my ck3i is permanently inside with the cables coming out the back which is handy

you don't want to see the other side where most of the cables actually are persuasion is needed to squeeze it on put it that way

Lol, yeah. Cable management would be a nice skill to have. Time will tell if I have it or not.
I will be getting an SSD when I can afford it.

Try to get the cable organized better for better air flow. That will keep your PC cooler and increase components life durability ;)

Yeah, I thought about that but, there's plenty of time for that in the future. When I get the feel for what kind of PC I need then I'll decide on a more permanent CPU. But thanks! :to_pick_ones_nose3:

    Yeah, I will. Thanks!

I made my cables smaller for my build but a bigger case is a away easier choice ;)

Wow, I remember my first build about 14 years ago. It was crazy different compared to computers today. I think it was a bit more difficult to do back then, but it could have been because I really didn't know jack about them at the time. Looks like a great system to me man.

If you don't mind my asking, how much does that whole setup cost?

PS: My cables are tidy. Almost can't even see them. I'm an Electrician / Fire Alarm Technician, so I am very particular about cable installations. :p

Everything would have been cheaper if I ordered my parts online and looked for all the cheapest sites and what not but, since I bought them all at one venue, NCIX, the total rang up to $928.37.

That's not really that bad at all for that system. Plus I think it's a good thing to support stores in your community. ;)
If your rig was right here my OCD would kick in and I'd tidy them up really nice for ya. :heyy:

Yeah, I don't mind. It was a pain in the ass bringing everything back as I don't have a vehicle and NCIX was like an hour away from my place. So, you can imagine carrying that case home was no easy task. :p

Yeah, I was too impatient to wait for parts. If I can have everything today then I'm choosing today. Rather than having to take a day off work just to wait for parts as there's no one home during the days.

Lol! I had my brother with me to help carry everything back. We threw everything in our backpacks aside the case which we carried back by hand. So yeah, we were good. It was just a pain having to carry that full size tower all the way home.

Oh I will. I just need to finish updating drivers, windows and games and I'll be ready to take after shots to show off. I plan on doing a StarCraft 2 Benchmark/Stress test to post as well. I love my StarCraft, not a beast at it but, it's still my favorite! :)
