Is this do able? I'm not sure which section to post this in either.

The thing is I have my old database thats MS SQL but my new hosting uses MySQL.

Any help would be great. I'd prefer the info from someone who has done this before though. ty

How much content I's in the old DB.
You could import the DB using MySQL workbench.

As well have a look at http://dbconvert.com/convert-mssql-to-mysql-pro.php
It is able to convert structures, data and views between mysql and mysql in both directions
