Hello guys. This is going to be my first post as I'm still new but I can't find any answers on the internet about my problem. My problem is, I've got a minecraft save on my xbox which I copied into a flash drive then moved it into my PC which is O.K. but the gamesave format is... .bin . I'd actually need it to be .datfor some modding tools but I know that I can't just convert it from .bin to .dat without corrupting the file.
Whenever I tried to find some answers via Google, all I could see was that most people had .dat saves. Which I don't and which I need....

Any idea how to convert it or to get it in .dat instead of .bin? Thanks in advance...

A minecraft safe should always end in .dat

Mectrikz, then I just don't understand it at all. I got the main save. I created it via the game myself (Xbox) and I didn't mod my xbox nor the gamesave and it still isn't .dat ... It's really .bin . The save's name is Save20131219024212.bin . Still .bin . The xbox has named it itself, but my map's name while in-game, is different. (Try to not get confused on this?)

Extract the .dat from the save, you will need to be able to see the save contents like in Horizon.
