Microsoft is taking the Kinect for Xbox 360 to the Great British Unwashed, giving gamers an opportunity to try the upcoming hands-free motion sensor before its release on August 20.

Starting tomomorrow, Microsoft has a summer base in Covent Garden called "the Kinect Galleries". To book a slot, sign up through Facebook.

Demo peeps will help visitors to play games such as Kinect Adventures, Dance Central, Kinect Joyride and Kinectimals.

Visitors are filmed and a 25 second clip is posted on the kinect.me website. You have been warned!

Kinect will retail in the UK for £129.99, or as an xBox bundle for £249.99. About 15 games are available at UK launch, retailing at £39.99. More details here.

Microsoft is also taking Kinect on the road and will visit theme parks and consumer events later in the year.

UK residents are encouraged to tell Xbox where they would like the tour to come, details of how will be announced in August.
