It would seem that Microsoft doesn't plan to be left behind in the Virtual Reality race as it has come to light they have just purchased various assets from wearable computing specialist the Osterhout Design Group.

Its no coincidence that this acquisition should take place at a time when Sony are focusing on Project Morpheus a virtual reality headset, and Facebook have purchased Oculas Rift.

Phil spencer also confirmed that Microsoft are focusing on 'Internal stuff' recently on Twitter, so could this be the 'stuff' he is referring too?

So far Microsoft has yet to comment on the latest purchase, however I am sure we will see some kind of statement related to VR very soon. Maybe they will unveil something at E3 who knows!
