Been having trouble with Cloud saves over Xbox Live over the Christmas break? Microsoft is like, really sorry.
In fact, itâ€™s so sorry that itâ€™s giving affected users are a free extra month on their Xbox Live Gold subscription.
According to Major Nelson, the free month will be dished out without you having to take any action. Itâ€™ll just be slapped on to the end of your subscription.
The issue prevented users from accessing their Cloud saves during the last week in December, instead spitting out a â€œ0x807b0198 â€œ message.
Apparently, the Operations team worked through the holiday to fix the problem. They will perform â€œa thorough post mortem to help prevent this from happening again.â€
