I have a Macbook pro OS X yosemite 10.10.5 that's bridged with an ethernet to my xbox one... i got a Dual band wifi arris modem/router...(Maybe this info will help maybe you don't need it?) how am i able to make my xbox one lowest priority so that i can lag more? What are the steps?
Can you tell me your exact model? I am just checking to see if you have QoS (Quality of Service) capabilities in your router or not.
So what do you recommend i do?? Things like UDP unicorn, Xlag, Nettools, Don't do ANYTHING for my lag when using a mac. Literally impenetrable. I try to load 4k videos and snap 4k videos in the corner on youtube while i'm gaming. Does little to NOTHING for my lag. I figured bridging to my macbook pro would make it so i could fuzz my connection. But it seems to no avail? What is a man to do??
I am confused really lol, are you trying to slow down your Internet usage to your Xbox One in exchange for faster connection to your Mac? I am on pretty solid internet myself and 4K Videos load slow on my PC as well... I couldn't imagine trying to game while loading a 4K Video.
I'm playing a game with undedicated servers (not call of duty lol) and lagging will help screw up the frame rate and hit detection of my character. Dude i literally load 4-5 4k videos on my computer and they load fairly decently..The 5th one gets pretty damn slow..I snap 4k videos on the corner of my screen..I put 4k videos on my phone on youtube..All connected to the Wifi..but NO LAG..It really makes no sense at all :'(..No programs work even with wine bottlers and converters for Mac..It's like this crap is impenetrable. Download and upload speed are WAYY TOO CLEAN for the gameplay i want. I don't wanna screw em up permanently..But screwing stuff up when i want is ideal. Just haven't found out how yet. Been at this for months...
So you're trying to slow down your Internet to allow you to lag to help yourself in a sense. If you had the IP of the server you're trying to connect too? Open up your command prompt or whatever Mac uses and ping that IP and paste the results here. It sounds to me like the undedicated server is just... trash.
