So I know people have been soldering some parts together and creating 2.5mm headset adapters which allow turtle beaches/other brand headsets for the 360 to work on Xbox one(the voice functionality, game audio was easy). Wondering if anyone here has tried it? You can Google instructions and what not, but I would feel much safer purchasing mine from someone who solders often.

    2,5mm ? i´m pretty sure it´s 3,5mm ^^
anyway this is what i did with a "spare" chat headset
3,5mm stereo audio cable + chat headset + time and a solder iron = win ;)
