Looks like this may need a tweak now. The latest patch from EA "Release #3" for Madden 13 looks to have stopped the editing of the XP points. I tried the tutorial here and also the tool from another user and no luck at all. I start with 1500 and I change it to 10000 and 65000 and when I load back up it stays at 1500. Anyone else try out the editor after applying EA's latest patch #3 release 10/16/12? Did it work, I maybe missing something, please let me know if anyone else has this issue or if it works fine for them after applying the patch.
Why go through all this trouble when you can just download the xp mod tool ih8 frost released? **Edit, I just modded my xp and it did work. I used iH8 Frost's tool. So for everyone who is having troubles, please make sure you're following this person's tutorial step by step. >EA can't actually patch xp modding. If your save is an offline save there's nothing they can do about it. They would have to discontinue production of Madden 13 and re-write the sum checking in the saves. That's logically impossible.
Did you apply the latest EA patch #3 on 10/16 I am using ih8's mod tool. I save the game to a USB then extract it with Horizon and then use ih8's tool to open the file and check the maximum for xp points. Then save it and use Horizon again to import it back to usb file and overwrite the current one there. It says it saves fine, then when I load it in Madden 13 it loads fine by XP points do not change. Please post the steps you did and link to the file(s) you are using. Thanks
That sounds like a **** ton of work right there lol. Here's a site that offers a free career editor that works for both player and coach modes. http://lazy-rainbow.blogspot.com/p/madden-nfl-13-editor.html
Here's my file can you help me? I don't know what I did wrong I do everything but the game freezes. Can you make a video tutorial? http://www.mediafire.com/?bdlo7bad3ddlp03
I did some testing on this and it does work with the old saves before the patch #3. But once you start a new career and select use your custom roster "import", after applying patch #3 it does not work. It lets you save but when you open it in the game the XP points for the player do not change. So it seems it will not allow for XP modding when you use your own custom team after patch #3. For people who say it is working fine please try to create/edit a team save roster and import it as the one to use for a new career after you install patch #3. If it does work please post a video of the steps you did so we can all follow your example. Thanks

So this tool - http://www.xpgamesav...l/#.UJqU_tnJpQA works on the save files after applying Patch #3? I have tried this three times and the XP points never change.
I put Madden 13 down because I didn't wanna grind out the career and overall stats achievements, now I think i'll pick it up again just to get them. Thanks.
Yeah, this method works perfect. to the OP, sorry to bump but I spruced up your modding folder with some .bats that auto-extract and such, also wrote a tutorial to go with it, (I will post it here as well before too long)
