Hey guys I have a question about license transferring. How exactly do you do it. Bc I would like to know. And do you have to have a jtag Xbox for it?
You don't have to have a jtag. Instructions can be found on the Xbox website here. Basically you sign in on the console you want to transfer the licenses to then go to - Settings- Account- Your Billing Options- License Transfer. Then simply re-download your content. License transfers can only be done every FOUR MONTHS.
Yes and no. Licenses can not be transferred between accounts. They can be transferred between consoles though. You could sign in on your friends console and transfer licenses to their console. If you do this you will have to be signed in to XBL to access the content on any other console. Content comes with two licenses, a console license and a purchaser license. The console license can be transferred, the purchaser license can not. Pressed for time atm or I would elaborate, will check this thread later today.
What the previous guy is trying to say is that a purchaser license is stuck on your account. You can't move it to another account, but if you want someone else to use the content on your account, you can license transfer to someone else's console and it allows them to use your content without being signed into your profile as long as they have downloaded it from your profile to their xbox. You can still use your content on your console on your own account that the content is attached too, but if you want to use it on another account on your console, you have to stay signed into your main profile that has the content on it.
