In the first advert, Chase McCain is seen piloting a helicopter, hanging from chickens and even riding the bones of a Tyrannosaurus rex.

Boasting 100 vehicles, antagonist Rex Fury is shown escaping justice on the back of a motorised lawnmower.

The second advert focuses on the game's disguises. Chase will be able to dress up as a robber to unlock doors, a miner to destroy objects and a fireman to put out fires.

Originally titled LEGO City Stories, LEGO City Undercover was announced at E3 2011. The game sees players hunt down criminals in LEGO City, an open-world environment loosely based on San Francisco.

The Wii U GamePad will act as a communicator to talk to other characters, a scanner to search for clues and a sat nav for finding your way around the city.

LEGO City Undercover will land in North America on March 28 and in Europe on March 18. A 3DS iteration, called LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins, will be released later this year.

Nintendo recently confirmed a limited-edition bundle that includes a LEGO minifigure of the game's protagonist Chase McCain.
