Gearbox is to release a patch designed to fix the “graveyard.sav” virus afflicting some players.

The problem began when some players hacked save files to unlock a Hardcore Mode in the Xbox 360 version of the game. Unfortunately it resulted in a virus that lost save files that spread quickly through the community.

But thankfully, it looks like the issue will soon end.

On the developer's support page, it says that yesterday’s Borderlands 2 update "Added security to prevent data loss tied to malicious violations of the Xbox Live Code of Conduct through an unsupported third-party program."

So we should be safe. Should. Let’s hope it solves the problem.

Funny, last week they said they submitted the patch to Microsoft a week prior.
This issue was patched on PC long ago, only MS's patch approval was holding it up on 360.

Sucks too because I'm a PC player and I'd like a hardcore mode. Now the only way I can get it is through Cheat Engine, and nobody has posted how :(
With it being un-enable-able now it will probably be really hard to find it's address and make a trainer to turn it on.
