Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be heading to PC and PS3 on 28 September priced at $14.99 USD, around one month after it debuts on the Xbox 360 as part of the Summer of Arcade promotion.

This delay was expected, but what has come as a surprise is a Joystiq report that the title will be missing online co-op on the Xbox 360 until that 28 September date.

Offline co-op will be present from the 18 August launch date, but leaderboard support, voice chat and online co-op functionality will all be added by a free patch.

Also announced today is an extensive DLC campaign for the title. Five extensions will be released across 2010, three of which will be new puzzles and levels for the game. The other two will be character packs (precisely which characters have yet to be revealed.)

We've contacted developer Crystal Dynamics for a statement on the delayed Xbox 360 online co-op, and for any further DLC details (such as whether they'll be free to PC users.) If they get back to us, we'll pass the information on to you.
