If you are one of the many gamers which has been experiencing issues connecting to online services on Xbox Live or Playstation then you will be pleased to know that the services are being restored right now. Hacking group know as the Lizardsquad are claiming responsibility for taking down the online gaming services of both Sony and Microsoft on Christmas day using DDOS attacks to make the services unreachable. The founder of Mega, Kim Dotcom stopped the attacks on XBL and PSN by striking a deal with the cyber grinches over Twitter. Kim tweeted the Lizard Squad asking them to stop the attacks in exchange for 3000 Mega lifetime premium vouchers. Its great to see that its took Kim Dotcom to get this stopped, while the money bags at M$ and PS couldn't give two hoots basically
The only downside to this is I can see different 'Squads' appearing now in a quest for internet fame and also a hunger for money that will blackmail gamers by attacking gaming network services for monetary gains. The providers of the services need to step up and look after their subscribers.<br>
