http://deadislandsaveeditor.steffenl.com/ DISE created by Steffen. 1.) Drag you're save into Horizon. 2.) Click Content, exact 'Save_0' within 'Content' to you're desktop. 3.) (You'll need 7Zip) Open 7Zip and find you're 'Save_0.' 4.) Extract 'save_0~' to your desktop also. 5.) Open DISE. (save_0~) 6.) Mod whatever you wish to modify. 7.) Afterwards, replace 'save_0~' with the one in the 7Zip folder. (Make sure to save!) 8.) Replace the 'Save_0' from you're desktop with the one in 'Content.' 9.) Reharsh and Resign. I'm so flippin' confused I did it step by step like it says, but it's not saving anything. When I stick my usb back in the box, it's just the same save as when started. And I know dise and horizon arent changing anything, because when I reopen the save files, they are back to original. I started checking to see if they were any different before sticking the usb back in the box after the umpteenth time of it not working. The only time I've seen it save the save_0~ was when I renamed it to save_1~, but of course it was corrupted, soooo before I tear my hair out, can someone tell me what Im doing wrong? Im only trying to add one weapon so I dont get it.
And I see when it's changing, when I do the replace using horizon, thats when the files remove everything, isnt it just sticking back what was originally on the save file anyways and taking off everything I jsut added with dise?
Here's my step by step. Copy save file to usb. Stick usb in laptop, open horizon. Drag save file 0 to box on left. Extract save file to desktop. Extract save file 0~ from save file to desktop. Minimize horizon. Open DISE. File, open, open save file 0~. Add weapon to inventory. File, save. Minimize DISE. On desktop drag save file 0~ to desktop, move and replace. Maximize horizon. Replace, successful. save/rehash/resign. successful. And that's where it all goes to s%$# eject usb, replace in xbox, start game, same save as it always was. I've tried doing both save 0, and save 0~, and both have the same effect. Opening the files again from desktop using DISE and they are both back to original. PLEEEEASE help
firstly awesome editor steffen, great work getting it up and running my 1 problem is whenever i make melee weapons unbreakable by ticking the checkbox i am then unable to move them between my inventory and henry's storage in game. am i doin anything wrong or can you only move unbreakable weapons directly through DISE?
Never mind, I figured it out from watching a youtube video, I had to manually cut/copy/replace the new save file back onto the usb save. Durhhh. I thought when it rehashed it was supposed to automatically do that, but whatever, it works by replacing when done, soooo yeah
