Before i start i'm not sure if this works for the people that bricked there consoles with the CFW i was updating to kmeaw_cfw when it crashed and i was stuck in a update loop Then got the RSOD done some searching and after ages came across this luckly i had a unopened E3 card at hand tried it and first go it never worked i tried again with the Modded firmware that comes with the downgrade files and that works so heres the tut This fixed 2 problems i had 1 the bad update and 2 the RSOD UPDATED I will Update this with a video quality aint to great as its on my phone at 23:53 :S

Ok With a e3 Dongle (or any other jailbreak dongle for which will would need to source the files for) I was able to fix the RSOD with a few steps 1, Download the downgrade firmware, This includes, Lv2diag.self FILE 1, Lv2diag.self FILE 2 & the Modified 3.41 PUP. 2 download e3downgrader fix BD beta (this updated version is to save your blueray drive). 3 put your JB dongle of your choice i used a E3 card reader i but the e3downgrader fix BD beta.bin file onto drive P of the E3 card reader. 4 insert the dongle INTO THE RIGHT HAND USB SLOT ((( THE CLOSEST TO THE BLUERAY DRIVE ))) & and power on like you would when using a JB dongle [ pressing power and eject fast as possible ]. your ps3 will power on and the shut down.. 5 get a usb memory stick make sure its formatted to fat32 and put these 2 files onto it Lv2diag.self FILE 1 & Modified 3.41 PUP. 6 put the usb memory stick in the RIGHT HAND SLOT THE ONE CLOSEST TO THE BLUERAY DRIVE and power on the console , The console will stay powered on but the screen will remain black u will notice the light on your memorey stick is flashing, This is because it is now flashing the console with 3.41 once this is finished the console will shut down. 7 remove the usb from the ps3 and return to the pc , Delete the now 3 files off the memory stick and copy over the Lv2diag.self FILE 2 to the usb stick. 8 put the usb memory stick into the ps3 yes in the right hand slot the one nearest the blueray drive,,,, and power on the ps3 you will notice it will power on and then after about 15 sec's it will shut down, remove memory stick and power back on your ps3 and it is now fixed simple

Nar theres a Bypass CFW for people with no or broken blue ray drives other then that look for the downgrading files and theres a modded PUP in there of 3.41 although this is not a CFW then install the modified 3.55 ofw , then kmeaw's modified cfw
If its lv2diag.self made by jaicrab then you will get stuck in recovery mode with no way of getting outa this mode.if your on a firmware above 3.56 But depends on your problem
