Microsoft revealed it's new augmented reality hardware today at the Windows 10 keynote, but you may be forgiven for thinking that you have seen it somewhere before.

The reason you may have that feeling of Deja Vu is because plans for this hardware surfaced on the Internet back in 2012 under the guise of 'Fortaleza' Kinect Glasses.

The 56 page document that leaked on the internet featured the plans for the Xbox One which was being called the Xbox 720 back then. They outlined Blu-ray support, native 3D output and glasses, concurrent apps, and additional sensor and peripheral support.

The "Fortaleza" Kinect Glasses were described as a "breakthrough heads up and hands-free device," Kinect Glasses were marked as a 2014 product and it was specified back in 2012 that they would not launch alongside the Xbox One.

Did Microsoft buy out Mojang last November for $2.5 Billion with the intention of Minecraft being the flagship game for the HoloLens as we now know the augmented reality hardware in 2015.

The time the acquisition of Mojang took place Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick saw a presentation of Microsoft's augmented reality technology which makes us think that Minecraft will be the game that the HoloLens launches with, whenever that will be.
When you think about it, Minecraft is the perfect game for the launch of this specific new product. Its simplicity and fanbase will ensure sales.
