Good day to you guys, For 3 days I've been constantly battling with my noob mind how to get trainers to work. The conventional "copy to HDD all of the items" is not cutting it for me, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm running FSD 2.2, I installed dashlaunch, and who knows what, I don't know what I just did (Skyrim). I configured the launch.ini, there seems to be a plugin that is swap.xex, but I thinks it's for switching multidisks. I tried removing it, putting xbdm.xex and I don't remember the rest so I put it back the way it was. T_T I also tried using other trainers from other games, I can open up the menu but the effects aren't kicking in. (NBA2k13) Can anyone walk me through setting up or using trainers? I would really like to know how because I'm so frustrated. I'm attaching my launch.ini file here.
if the trainer is starting up and you can see the menu and activate cheats but cheats don't work then there is nothing wrong with your setup. you must have the wrong TITLE ID, MEDIA ID, or the wrong TU installed. solution is check media id and title id are the same as stated in trainer and also check That you have correct TU
wot i do to get the title id and other game info i use RETROBYTE trainer put both files in with game load the pach game one then press both triggers and bumbers then back butt :music2: on pop up menu will *** up and thean you can get the game info stuff
make sure there are no active plugins ; example plugin entry from launch.ini [Plugins] plugin1 = Hdd:\swap.xex "so delete this just an example" plugin2 = plugin3 = plugin4 = plugin5 = failing that i don't know
you can use XYZTRAINER or fsd to get media id and title id you can also download TU with fsd. in fact just go here and read mini tutorial http://www.xpgamesaves.com/topic/72430-retrobyte-xyztrainer-release/
thank paracrypt for this answer. TU = Title update. You'll find most (not all) trainers are TU specific, meaning they only work on the targeted TU. There are sites you can quickly get TU's for the games you play. For a quick and easy way to get TU's on your xbox 360, use a program called "360 content manager" (google it). Oh yeah, nearly forgot, You can just use Freestyle dash to get TU's the easiest way. (google that, it's great). TU download sites: http://www.xbuc.net/ http://marketplace.jqe360.com/ In each trainer (from RETROBYTE at least), if you look in the trainer menu you will see "TU(#) Codes:", which is the required TU for the trainer to work. Without the correct TU, the game or the trainer will most likely not function properly. If you want to play a game without using one of the included trainers, just don't turn the cheats on when you load the game.
Nice to see our releases are being put to good use. I do want to point out though that our trainer does not need to be "in with game", you can put the trainer files anywhere (just once is enough, don't have loads of copies of the trainer files), and it will work. I have mine placed in my "devkit" folder but I'm on RGLoader. When I use Freeboot, It autoloads as I have it set as a plugin but if I didn't then I would just put them on the root of my hdd or anywhere I can be bothered to put them really. @michail12 Glad to see you got some at least working in the end. And AxR, I completely agree with your answers lol.
