For the longest time any sort of gameplay reveal of Grand Theft Auto V was to be held behind closed doors for select members of the media to get an early look at what many are calling the most anticipated game since it's big reveal on October 25th of 2011. Well the time has come for the gaming community to finally get past the awesome trailers that Rockstar has released, and take a closer look at how Grand Theft Auto V is going to play. One of the biggest additions to the game is the return of RPG elements. Confirmed in the gameplay reveal trailer, while switching between players and when the camera pans down to Micheal returning home from a bike ride, there is a stats indicator that pops up on the bottom right side of the screen that showcases each characters individual strengths and weaknesses. Along with the ability to switch between characters at any time it will allow for missions to be more diverse than ever before. During a mission Michael is repelling down a skyscraper and pushes his way through the window into an office where he is looking to capture someone. Once he takes the man hostage the player then switches perspective over to Franklin who is watching Micheal's every move with a sniper rifle from another high rise. The freedom to do what you want when you want is something that makes the GTA series one of a kind, and this time around the activities you can take part in have been expanded upon as well. You will be able to play in multiple sports such as golf, tennis, cycling and diving in the ocean. If you're not looking for the more active lifestyle you can customize cars, go search for a bounty and hunt wildlife. If you're a long time fan of the series that just wants to explore than this is the game for you. Not only is this the biggest landscape Rockstar has ever built, it offers the most cars, planes, and outdoor activities than all the other games combined. You can fly, drive, climb a mountain, sky dive and so much more. One of the biggest additions to the game is how the missions are going to be played. You get to make some of the biggest decisions when it comes to the heists you're going to taking part in. From strategically planning your entrance, how to handle to civilians, the big escape and of course what you will do with the earnings when it's split three ways. Not only do you get to enjoy the money spending once... You get to enjoy three times the fun! With tattoos, cars, real estate and stocks to bet your money on you will have countless ways to make sure you can try a little of everything with three separate personalities to play with. Gameplay mechanics have gotton a complete overhaul as well. From the look of the HUD, driving feels more realistic than ever and gun play is going to be very similar to Max Payne 3, which had some of the best action sequences with allowing you to switch between weapons in a way that you're always in the action. The trailer ends with the statement,"Then there's Grand Theft Auto Online, that we will show you properly soon..." Editor's Notes After months of waiting was this the type of reveal you wanted? Did you get to see everything you hoped for? Grand Theft Auto V is going to offer hours of gameplay for multiple gameplay styles and this is going to be the one game this year that will make everyone want to keep their current generation system to ensure they can enjoy this game for years to come!
