GTA 5 ONLINE is getting a new PS4, Xbox One and PC update later the coming weeks, with a mid-month release date likely.

It’s been a while since Rockstar released a big update for GTA 5 Online, relying mainly on Stunt Races and recycled Valentine’s Day content in February.

However, last week saw the studio outline their plans for the upcoming Spring and Summer, confirming that new content would be released, starting in March.

The weeks and months ahead will be peppered with new content for GTA 5 Online on PS4, Xbox One and PC, which will focus on bringing new missions to the game, as well as intriguing vehicles.

The next Title Update in March will introduce an all-new style of Stunt Races specifically designed for the Rocket Voltic, the Ruiner 2000 and the Blazer Aqua.

Each set of Races will play to the super powers of its respective vehicle so expect to launch across massive gaps at rocket-fueled speed in Rocket Voltic Races, seamlessly shred through land and sea in the Blazer Aqua, and free-fall into vehicular base jump style Races with the Ruiner 2000.

While a new update is expected to launch later today, It’s unclear if this will also include anything other than removing the option of transferring accounts from Xbox 360 and PS3, to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

With the recent GTA 5 Online Stunt Race Events bonuses running until March 13, it seems likely that the first stunt-related content update will arrive on March 14.

There could also be the first Adversary Mode of the Spring launched alongside it, the new dodgeball Resurrection AM looks set to be the first to make its debut.

Some of the most requested classic GTA vehicles are also being added to GTA Online for the first time – such as the Turismo Classic and the Infernus Classic that first made its appearance on the streets of Liberty City in GTAIII.

Those cars are likely to be drip-fed into the game during April and will probably be preceded by the big update teased by Rockstar last week.

The new GTA Online content will add additional missions as part of a Gun Running themed expansion. It’s likely to be similar to both Biker and Warehouse missions but will have one big difference.

New weaponised vehicles are set to make their debut, allowing fans to fight for supremacy in the illegal arms trade and wage war with the latest in high-powered military hardware.

"Every update to GTA Online comes with a vast litany of under-the-hood tweaks, enhancements and improvements that are a direct result of feedback from the GTA Online community, so please keep on sending your suggestions and input via the GTA Online feedback page," a message from Rockstar explains.

"We're also continuously advancing our anti-cheat tools in pursuit of bad apples; if you attempt to cheat or modify GTA Online in any way, you will be detected, suspended and be subject to a character wipe so it's always best to stay on the right side and help keep the playing field fair and fun for everyone."
