The GTA V juggernaut continues. Rockstar has announced that it has shipped over 60 million units of the open-world crime epic since launch in November 2013. It’s not slowing down, either. 6 million copies of GTA V have been shipped since July, 2015, following the PC release.Actual, precise sales numbers have not been revealed by Rockstar. Shipped does not mean sold. However, it’s likely that sales numbers aren’t too far off that 60m mark, comfortably putting GTA V in the position of the fourth best-selling game ever.Ahead of GTA V are Minecraft (72m), Wii Sports (82.72m) and Tetris (a whopping 425 million). Free mobile games are not included in the list. Candy Crush, for example, was said to have been downloaded 500m times. And that was in 2013.But regardless, GTA V is chuffing huge and GTA Online, as well as new platform releases, continue to extend the game’s life. I wonder if it’ll ever catch up Minecraft?
