Evolve is an upcoming sci-fi themed, co-operative first-person shooter survival developed by Turtle Rock Studios and published by 2K Games. This game is a 4 versus 1 asymmetric multiplayer first person shooter monster simulator. The teams are made up of one monster and four hunters, you can play as either. When playing as the monster your objective is to kill the hunters or when you reach level 3 in the game you can go take out a generator. To level up in the game you can eat creeps which will give you experience points which in turn allow you to evolve. So now that you can evolve you must go find a safe place and then choose a skill which you would like to upgrade. Before the game starts as a monster you will have 3 skill points to spend which you can use to either unlock skills or even max out one skill, its upto you how you decide to play it out. At this point in the game you will want to avoid the hunters and find as many creeps as you can , your objective should be to Evolve to level 3 before you engage the hunters. Of course this isn't as easy as it sounds with 4 hunters all with different abilities of thier own chasing you down and using skills such as 'The Trapper' which is a big wall that does exactly what it says on the tin. If the hunters do find you whilst you are playing as a monster and manage to trap you or damage you you will need to escape and retreat to allow your shields to regenerate, you can replenish shields by eating more creeps. There are all different kinds of creeps ranging from ones which as easy to kill to some much harder ones which give you perks when you kill them such as extra armour regeneration, longer flight and many more. The hunters can also go get perks by killing wildlife So far there has been a total of 2 monsters revealled that will feature in the game, and those are the Kraken and the Goliath. There has also been 2 sets of hunters which totals 8 hunters. Its not yet known how many more monsters or hunters will be revealed before the games release in October. Tactics and communication will be key when playing as hunters in this game, you should try to trap the monster before he has a chance to Evolve and level up and then keep the monster on the run. Most importantly you will need to watch each others backs and not get singled out by the monster. The developers have done an amazing job bringing this game to life and the gameplay which has been released so far looks awesome. I personally can't wait until this game releases on October 21st on the Xbox One, it also releases on PC and PS4 the same time. Watch Jackfrags 23 minute gameplay video.
