To assign a static IP to your NAS box Log in to your NAS and set a static IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.200 --- if your subnet is 192.168.1.x, then set your NAS to 192.168.1.200). Now, what you will need to do is log into your router. You will need to then go to "Port Forwarding". You want to Forward the following ports to 192.168.0.200 21 22 80 443 Those are for FTP and Web Access (only do 80/443 if you aren't running IIS or web hosting on this LAN). After you have done that, you may need to reboot your router. Now, you may need to log into your NAS to ensure that you have set up the proper username/password XXXXX your main user and/or other users for FTP purposes. From there, you should be able to access (from outside your network) via your WAN IP (you can find it by going to http://www.whatismyip.com) You should be able to access your FTP from a program like FileZilla
this is what i have it wont let me change my subnet all ports are opened set to 192.168.0.12 and nothing
