Bungie are pleased with the Destiny beta results and so they should be, over 4.6 million players participated in the beta resulting in a grand total of 88 million games being played. Unsurprisingly Bungie are saying that no Major changes will be made prior to the full games release on September the 9th.

A lot was learned during what was actually a world record breaking beta, and of course changes will be made to the game before its official launch, they just wont be substantial.

Bungie were able to test everything at scale thanks to the sheer volume of participants that not only made this Beta the worlds largest but also meant everything was tested to its limits and Bungie are pleased with how everything held up. Of course they see no reason for any fundamental changes to the game given that overall the feedback was almost universally positive.
Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said "I would describe these as tweaks and not major changes as we saw the fundamentals of the game to be very strong"

This of course is great news, the game is set to be released in little over a months time. Bungie hasn't yet gone into great detail about all of the changes that will be made to Destiny following the successful beta but we can safely assume any changes will be related to weapon balancing and such like.

If you played in the Destiny beta, what kind of changes were you hoping for? Let us know in the comments below.
