Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round is the latest big title to release in a broken state. The developers of DOA5, Team NINJA are currently dealing with the backlash of releasing a glitchy, broken game.
The developers official Twitter account has been bombarded with complaints in many languages, all complaining about the games broken state and warning other players of issues with the game. Some of the known issues are:
When throwdown challenges are on, causing freezing issues on Xbox One.
Loss and or corruption of gamesave data on Xbox 360 caused by title update being installed without certain pieces of the game's DLC.
After installing the title update for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round on PS3 consoles, players are unable to advance the game when forming a tag team with Hayate and Phase 4.
When pausing a replay, when it shows a Power Blow being aimed may cause the game to crash on PS4 consoles.
Whilst searching for an opponent or a lobby for Ranked Matches, Lobby Matches, and Throwdowns on Xbox One, the game crashes.
After initiating or canceling a search for a Ranked Match or Lobby Match on PS4 consoles, the game does not progress.
When switching from training mode, Arcade Mode, or Versus Mode to another mode on PS4 consoles the game randomly freezes sometimes.
The game does not work with arcade sticks, specifically Mad catz sticks.
Tutorial mode causing crashing on all platforms:
German, Spanish, French and Italian versions of the game crash and corrupt save data when playing tutorial mode:
The game is an absolute train wreck, and some of Team NINJAS responses to some of the problems are so bad they are actually borderline funny, such as telling gamers to switch the game to another language to play it to avoid crashing issues.
It would appear the trend of releasing broken games which we see spike in 2014 is carrying over into 2015. If you have been unfortunate enough to purchase this game, brace yourself for a barrage of title updates to address the many issues this game currently has.
