Visceral Games have released the first details about the Battlefield Hardline open beta confirming that it is "open to everyone and on all platforms - PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3."
Whilst no information has been given about when we can expect to see the beta, many other things have been revealed about what we can expect to see in the beta, such as maps, game modes and much more.
There will be two maps available in the open beta called Dustbowl and Downtown. You will have access to two game modes, Hotwire which is an all new game mode which is "focused on combining all-out warfare with all-out speed" and Conquest mode which will be "64-player cops and criminals warfare."
"While it's just a taste of the whole game, we want you to come in, take your jacket off, stay a while." says the official website. There is no level in the beta, "so whether you’re busting criminals or fleeing the cops, unlock away. The beta is your shot to test the different classes, toy with different gadgets, and find your crew to take down your foes."
Any beta is about finding bugs and glitches as well as load testing, so all feedback from the open beta is vital. "We know the Battlefield community is extremely passionate. We love the open, two-way dialogue we’ve been building with the community and want to keep that going leading up to and beyond launch. Hopefully you’ll see in March that we’ve not only been listening, but we’ve been busy acting on what we’re hearing." ~ Visceral General Manager and Executive Producer, Steve Papoutsis
Battlefield Hardline will be available March 20, 2015 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
