Activision has today announced a new James Bond game known as 007 Legends. The game will be developed by Eurocom for Xbox and PlayStation 3, and is due out this Fall. 007 Legends will attempt to link together six of the Bond films including this year’s Skyfall. Mi6 Ops Missions from GoldenEye 007: Reloaded will make a return. Multiplayer will feature four-player split-screen and online, with new maps characters and weapons plucked from Bond’s 50 year history. Attempting to link together six James Bond films in a single game will be a tough task. Especially considering that each will feature different versions of Bond. Obviously Daniel Craig will be the Bond that the game will be centered around, so expect him to be facing off against familiar villains in equally familiar settings. It will be nice to see Activision and Eurocom try something a little different with the franchise instead of just a straight up film tie-in. We’re looking forward to seeing more.
