Major Nelson has announced on Twitter tonight that the real-time strategy take on the Halo franchise, Halo Wars is now backward compatible on Xbox One for Preview Program members. Various Twitter users have confirmed that both digital and physical copies are working. But again, it is only live for Preview Program members at the moment. It is unclear why this specific release is limited, though if no issues appear it would seem likely that the game would go live for everyone else soon.If you don't own Halo Wars yet, it is available digitally for $19.99 from the Xbox Marketplace, or you can procure a physical copy at your store of choice.
