The first DLC pack for Battlefield 1 is nearing its release, bringing new maps, weapons, and other goodies for gamers to enjoy, such as a Dark Souls easter egg.

One of the new maps in the upcoming DLC for Battlefield 1 called "They Shall Not Pass" comes with a little nod to the Dark Souls games that fans of the franchise are sure to enjoy. The easter egg in question is a Battlefield 1 version of the Bonfires, the save points or checkpoints of Dark Souls.

Just because the easter egg is a rather obvious one for most gamers it is not located in an obvious spot, players will have to go outside of the map "Rupture" to get a good look at it. To reward players who manage to reach the Bonfire Battlefield 1 allows players to grab the Bonfire sword and use it as a melee weapon until they die. Unfortunately, players won't respawn at the Bonfire, or with the sword, after they die. Check out the video bellow for a look at the Bonfire and where to find it.

The "They Shall Not Pass" DLC comes with four new maps, a new game mode, a new army, new weapons, and much more, click here for more details. In other Battlefield 1 news, DICE recently revealed that they would make some big changes to the grenades, changes that could impact the game quite a bit.
