Ubisoft has announced a prequel game based on The Expendables 2 for PC, Xbox Live Arcade, and PlayStation Network -- and it looks suitably nuts.The online/local co-op stars the Barney Ross (Stallone), Gunner Jensen (Lundgren), Hale Caesar (Crews), and Yin Yang (Jet Li) characters on a rescue mission. It ends where The Expendables 2 begins, and the road to get there is paved with explosions, vehicle missions, and a whole lot of four-player gunfire.

We've asked Ubisoft about which of the film's actors will be involved in the shooter, as well as information about a price and date -- the usual $10-$15 and "close to the film's August 17 release" should be as good a guess as any.
