Monkey Ball and Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi took to the stage during today's PlayStation Japan press conference to reveal new Yakuza Restoration details and show off the trailer.

Set in Kyoto, Japan at the end of Edo period (1603-1868), Restoration will be a launch title on the Japanese PS4 release date of Saturday February 22, 2014.

Yakuza 5 released in Japan last December. Western release plans for the game haven't been announced, so a Restoration launch on this side of the pond would appear unlikely at this stage.

Sony also announced a redesigned Vita model during this morning's PlayStation press conference.
