Not that it was ever in any real doubt, but Thunder God Raiden is officially coming to Mortal Kombat X. The confirmation comes after developer NetherRealm unveiled a gameplay video at the Evo Championship Series tournament in Las Vegas over the weekend.

The gameplay clip, which sees Raiden going up against brand new character Kotal Kahn, shows off all three of his character variations. There's Thunder God, which focuses on electrocution combos; Displacer, which is all about whip-fast teleportation, and Storm Lord, which allows you to set lightning traps for your opponent.

The video also culminates in an eye-popping Fatality, so make sure to watch right til the end. Let's have a Kitana reveal next, alright NetherRealm?
