You know that feeling when a game you're really looking forward to but had all but forgotten about is back on the radar and closer to release than ever? That.

Child of Light will launch for both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 on 30th April, for the sum of Â£11.99. If you'll remember, I spoke to the game's creative director Patrick Plourde a while back and he assured me that the game is definitely worth the price of admission. If you're still unconvinced, check out the new features trailer below - doesn't it look purdy?

The game has been put together by a very small team - less than twenty, if I remember correctly - in Ubisoft Montreal. Like Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends and Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Child of Light has been developed on UbiArt Framework, Ubisoft's engine that lets original concept art to be inserted, unedited, into the game world, allowing for much smaller development teams. It also means, according to Plourde, that Ubisoft can ensure it won't become just an "Assassin's Creed meat factory."

I came away deeply impressed after a hands-on with Child of Light - read my initial impressions here. Will you be picking it up?
