According to NeoGAF, the Japanese publisher made the announcement about the PS4 game during this morning's Capcom Online Games conference.

A short new trailer for the game, which was announced for Sony's upcoming console in February, shows a montage of monsters in a subterranean environment:

Capcom reportedly said today that it will showcase Deep Down at Tokyo Game Show 2013 in September.

February's Deep Down reveal trailer featured a medieval knight battling a large fire-breathing dragon in a subterranean lair.

Capcom later clarifed that the new IP has no connection to its popular RPG series Dragon's Dogma.
